1. J-10B/C different story exceed F-16V performance
2. The Chengdu J-10 was integrated initially with the Radar “NRIET KLJ-7” with a range of 75-130km max. “vs” the AN/APG-66 Radar 55-105km max. of most of the F-16 (Wins J-10). The J-10 radar has the same range as the APG-68 (V) September 80-105km of F-16 block52 and RDY-2 the Mirage-2000-5/-9 The last F-16E / F Block 60 equipped with the advanced AN/APG-80 AESA radar, the radar can exceed the J-10, but the new Chengdu J-10B plane carry the AESA radar KLJ-10 which is equivalent to AN/APG-80.
3. Modern F-16 even have AESA-radars, and the chinese are known to produce in mass, not quality. Also the F-16 has a bigger range, because it can be equipped with CFT’s. Also the F-16D costs 19 million $, because of mass production & cheaper parts. The J-20 costs 28 million $! The J-10 isn’t of better quality, but only about 200 of them have been made, while nearly 5000 F-16 have been produced.
